Denia Parham Sheila Duignan and Michael Wilkins High Hopes Scholar University of California, Merced Denia is graduating from the Academy of Medicine and Public Service (AMPS) at BHS. She participated in the Bridge and the Students Rising Above programs and says resiliency is her most dominant characteristic. She is very interested in science and medicine. Last year she had an internship at the American Red Cross. Denia, who loves to work with children, worked as a camp counselor at an Oakland charter school. She will be the first person in her family to attend college and is considering a career as an OB/GYN.
