BERKELEY COMMUNITY FUND INSPIRES NEW AWARD FOR NON-PROFIT EXCELLENCE!

In 1998, the Berkeley Community Fund won the first ever Arthur Andersen Best Practices Award for Outstanding Non-Profit in the Bay Area.  According to Marv Friedman, managing director of Arthur Andersen's San Francisco Enterprise Practice, "The Judging panel agreed that many non-profits operate at an extremely high level with very limited resources.  Berkeley Community Fund is the first of what we trust will be many organizations deserving recognition for their best practices."
