Jalena Keane-LeeJalena Keane-Lee 2013 BCF/BHS Class of 1951 High Hopes Scholar Wellesley College Jalena is active with the Destiny Arts Youth Performance Company and is the Vice President of the Berkeley High’s Model United Nations club.  Jalena has traveled around the state as a teen host for the TV show Eco Company and also traveled to Cambodia as part of a State Department-funded youth leadership trip.  She speaks Mandarin and plans to major in Political Science and International Relations. “Mandarin is a difficult language to master and in all my years of teaching, few students have demonstrated the intellectual capacity, passion and discipline that Jalena has shown over the past four years.” Xin Chen, BHS Mandarin Chinese teacher “I have never worked with a more politically astute young person.
