I was born in Pakistan, the youngest of seven children. The struggle of assimilation into this new culture was a great challenge for there were some elements I wanted to adopt and others to avoid. Having overcome the challenges of polio and successfully confronting language barriers and a new culture has enabled me to face challenges as a strong, confident person. My life experiences have prepared me to take on any obstacles that life might place in my path.
“Miss Shah continues to strike me as an intelligent, motivated, well behaved student who is fun to work with. I am impressed with her uncanny knack to decipher even the most challenging of concepts in the subject of Literature. I am confident that Humaira will excel in any program that she gets an opportunity to further her studies in.”
